Exynos 9 Chipset Features
Samsung is under high pressure this year to unveil a smartphone that doesn’t explode and also to keep up with people’s expectations. It took its first step towards that goal by launching it premium processor, the Exynos 9 series 8895, which comes with 10-nanometer (nm) FinFet technology.
Exynos 9 has been in the new for quite a while now as it is being rumored that the chip-set will be powering Samsung’s flagships for 2017, Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus. The 10nm FinFet technology which has been used to manufacture Exynos 8895, improves efficiency of a smartphone by 27 percent and diminishes power consumption by 40 percent.
Given that fact the a smartphone in the current age literally is used for everything, be it buying groceries or banking or traveling, improvement in efficiency and reduction in power consumption will not only satisfy the user but will increase the longevity of the phone.
“The new Exynos 9 Series 8895 is the first processor of its kind to embed a gigabit LTE modem that supports five carrier aggregation, or 5CA. It delivers fast and stable data throughput at max.1Gbps (Cat.16) downlink with 5CA and 150Mbps (Cat.13) uplink with 2CA,” stated Samsung.
