Ordered mine direct from the manufacturer and received it promptly on the 14th.The phone is elegant and slim, and feels fantastic in the hand – substantial but not heavy. Samsung screen quality is the best notch.I am something of quality of sound and an audiophile from Bluetooth (with the Audio Technica DSR 9BT) appears to be much better than with the LG V20. The headphone output is much better compared to my old S6 Edge plus or even as well as the V20. And also the two speaker setup means that you are able to listen with no cans in case you wish. For me the Micro SD slot is non negotiable, and I thank Samsung for keeping it. In case they could squeeze a little something as well as the LG Quad DAC in here for the coming generation that would be fantastic. The phone seems as responsive and fast as an Android phone can be, but it is right out of the box. The same goes for of the battery life, it is okay now but we are going to see what 6 months brings. The cons–I am much less impressed with the Iris scanner which, as of this writing, doesn’t work nicely for me. You will find 3 biometric options right here though so you’re not stuck with it. I wish the Bixby button may be mapped to the Google Assistant, as Bixby is a work in progress. I might change over to the Nova launcher – still deciding whether I love this particular variant of Touch Wiz. It gets some better with each iteration, but so does stock Android according to the reviewers.Accessories included a USB adapter, a pair of AKG earbuds with a braided cable, and a quick charger. No wireless charger – presumably Samsung fans have some by now.

On the fence here whether I believe it needs to get four stars or perhaps five – probably 4.6 or perhaps thereabouts, in case we are counting. I purchased mine direct from Samsung, it arrived on March 14th as promised. I am upgrading from an S8, and have in the past owned an S7 and Note five. This’s the very best of the bunch, beyond doubt, and there’s minimal or perhaps no learning curve going from a single to the other person. They had taken a great smartphone (S8), and simply made it better in ways that are several (and, in the opinion of mine, even worse in a couple, but more on that later). Dimensions – it is incredibly like the S8, the one apparent difference is the entire length is a touch shorter – compensated for by having less black margin around the screen edges.Visually, the screen is fantastic. The touch responsiveness is great, so the performance is snappy. The fingerprint scanner is in a more effective position than on the S8.Things I do not love that much – the iris scanning/facial recognition. I preferred the system in the S8 for sure. The avatars of yourself you are able to create from a selfie are, very well, just downright creepy.
